The knife is nicely balanced and feel very premium with the Japanese steel layers and hammered blade. VG-10 steel is thinner, harder and sharper than western knife materials. The blade is very sharp out of the box and it’s effortless in slicing meat. Cutting would become so easy no matter what you’re cutting
